Request

  1. Number of people in your police force.
  2. Number of people who have joined your force each year for the past 10 years.
  3. Number of people who have retired from your force each year for the past 10 years.
  4. Number of people who have resigned (for reasons that are not retirement) from your force each year for the past 10 years.
  5. Number of police officers who have gone on mental health related leave (e.g. stress), or who have been taken off frontline duty for mental health reasons, from your force each year over the past 10 years.
  6. Total funding your force has received each year for the past ten years.
  7. What administrative duties do police officers have and when do they differ between roles? Have there been any changes of frontline police officers’ administrative duties (for example but not limited to; paperwork, case preparation) over the past ten years? What were these changes? When were they implemented?

Please find attached our response in relation to questions 1 – 5.  Regarding question 6, under section 21 of the Act, we are not required to provide information in response to a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you. The information you requested is available on the following website: Budget – West Midlands Police & Crime Commissioner (westmidlands-pcc.gov.uk).  Question 7 does not relate to recorded information and therefore is not valid under the FOI Act.
