Vehicle Defect Rectification Notices (601A/21)


  • How many vehicle defect rectification notices were issued to drivers for broken head or tail lights in 2018, 2019 and 2020?
  • What proportion of drivers issued with these notices subsequently provided proof they had fixed their lights?
  • How many fixed penalty notices were issued to drivers for driving with defective head or tail lights in 2018, 2019 and 2020?
  • How many fixed penalty notices were issued to drivers for displaying illegal (non-standardised) number plates in 2018, 2019 and 2020?

Please provide the data in calendar years, with each year’s data separate.
