I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request information on vehicle seizures in 2022.

- The number of seized vehicles that were returned to owners
- The number of vehicles sold at auction or destroyed
- The reasoning behind each of these seizures
Please provide the information in the form
Number of seizures
|2022||Number of Seizures||Number of seized vehicles returned to their owners||Number of destroyed vehicles||Number of vehicles sold at auction|
Reason for seizure
|2022||Reason 1||Reason 2||Reason 3||Reason 4||Reason 5|
Please find attached our response.
Please note: The total number of seizures is different to the total of returned +destroyed +auctioned as we still now have vehicles in storage that were seized in 2022 that are yet to be returned etc
