1.Do WMP contract a veterinarian to make regular Health & Welfare inspections for dogs seized under the DDA/BSL in their ‘ approved ‘ kennels?
Yes
2.If yes . . . what is the time frame for such visits?
All dogs being taken into the Contractor’s kennelling facility on behalf of the Authority must be given a general health check within 48 hours of being placed with the kennel, unless an extension has been agreed by the Authority.
Each dogs care is different so beyond the initial 48-hour general health check, vets attend when required to do so by the Authority for individual dogs.
