Salaries of Senior Officers (867A/21)
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 I would like to request the salaries, including overtime, money earned and hours worked for the top earners at West Midlands Police, including the chief constable, deputy chief constable and assistant chief constables please.
Please be advised that the salaries and remuneration of WMP’s Senior Officers are published annually in our Statement of Accounts. The most recently published document is for the 2019-2020 financial year, however, a draft Statement of Accounts for 2020-2021 is currently being finalised and is due to be made available within the next few months at the link below.
Please see below link for 2019-2020:
https://foi.west-midlands.police.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Chief-Constable-Accounts-2019-20.pdf page 42 refers
Please also note that senior officers do not get paid overtime and all current members of the Force Executive team work full time (40 hours for officers and 36.5 hours for police staff). If they were to work part time then a note below the table would indicate the FTE for that individual.
Therefore, this information is exempt by virtue of Section 22(1) – (Information intended for future publication)
This exemption and explanatory notes are shown here:
While release of this information may enhance public knowledge of this area, to respond to this request at this time would require the information to be retrieved and collated, and would involve a disproportionate use of resources. In addition, uncoordinated release of this information before the data are properly verified could result in the release of misleading data.
