We don’t incur overtime to house prisoners as lockouts from Court or prisons.

For Operation Safeguard, the overtime spend to the end of September (most recently available data) is £323,006.14.

4. How much has your police force been paid by the Ministry of Justice to provide cells for prisoners in 2023?

For Court and prison lockouts, we have invoiced £9,305.64.

For Operation Safeguard, the received sum to the end of September (most recently available data) is £6,527,885.52.
