Pensions (91A/23)
Request
I am writing to submit a request under the Freedom of Information Act concerning police pensions.
Please tell me:
1) Does the force currently require newly retired officers to sign non-disclosure agreements before receiving their pensions?
2) Has the force at any time required newly retired officers to sign non-disclosure agreements before receiving their pensions? Please state the period of time in which this practice was active.
3) Please provide me with copies of such non-disclosure agreements used by the force, either now or previously.
Response
We have approached the relevant departments in relation to this request (Shared Services and Legal Services) and they have advised they are not aware of any officers signing NDAs prior to receiving their pension.
