Request
I am writing to request some data relating to the use of Outcome 21 by your force.
I would be very grateful if I could have an answer to the following questions relating to Home Office Crime Code 86/2 AND 86/10 which includes the offences:
- Attempt to distribute an indecent photograph / pseudo-photograph of a child
- Distribute an indecent photograph / pseudo-photograph of a child
- Make indecent photograph / pseudo-photograph of a child
- Permit taking of indecent photo / pseudo-photograph of a child
- Possess to show / distribute – indecent photograph / pseudo-photograph of a child
- Show an indecent photograph / pseudo-photograph of a child
- Take an indecent photograph / pseudo-photograph of a child
The data I require is:
- Between 01/01/2020 and 31/12/2020 How many times has ‘Outcome 21’ been used across your force? Please separate by Gender and Month.
- Between 01/01/2020 and 31/12/2020 How many of those ‘Outcome 21s’ relate to ‘Youth Produced Sexual Imagery’ (Sexting by Under 18s)? Please separate by Gender and Month.
- Between 01/01/2020 and 31/12/2020 How many of those Outcome 21s (relating to Youth Produced Sexual Imagery) involved 10 – 17 year olds? Please separate by Gender and Month.
- Between 01/01/2020 and 31/12/2020 How many overall reports of crimes relating to Youth Produced Sexual Imagery (sexting by under 18s) have been made? Please separate by Gender and Month.
- Between 01/01/2020 and 31/12/2020 How many children, those aged between 10 – 17, were charged with the offence of ‘Possession of an indecent photograph or pseudo photograph of a child, Criminal Justice Act 1998 – section 160(1)’? Please separate by Gender and Month.
- Between 01/01/2020 and 31/12/2020 How many children, those aged between 10 – 17, were charged with the offence of ‘Taking, making, distributing and sharing an indecent photograph or pseudo photograph of a child, Protection of Children Act 1978 – section 1(1)’? Please separate by Gender and Month.
- Between 01/01/2016 and 31/12/2020 how many Outcome 21s have been issued by your force for HO Crime Code ’86/2′ AND ‘86/10’ to children between 10 – 13, please break the number down by year.
- Between 01/01/2016 and 31/12/2020 how many Outcome 21s have been issued by your force for HO Crime Code ’86/2′ AND ‘86/10’ to children under the age of 10, please break the number down by year.
