MADE festival (356A/22)
Request
The number of arrests made at Made Festival in 2021 and in 2019
Response
Our data are not organised in such a way as to allow us to provide this information within the appropriate (cost) limit within the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act (see ‘Reason for Decision’ below).
Every custody record for that period over all of our custody blocks would need to be individually assessed in order to locate and retrieve any potential information. When a person is arrested they are booked into custody for the “offence” that they have committed, for example, Theft, public order etc. The location of the arrest is recorded, but this could be as simple as “High Street”. If a person were arrested at the MADE festival then this information maybe located embedded in the custody record or the crime file. The event that a person was present is not a mandatory field and cannot be searched upon.
