Time periods requested for years 2022 and 2023

  1. How many Inspectors are currently in WMP 2023 (not including Temporary Inspectors)
  2. Demographic breakdown of those Inspectors within WMP (age range, gender & ethnicity)
  3. How many years’ service does each inspector currently have (this can be grouped and presented every 5 years, (e.g. 0-5, 5-10,10-15 up to 35 yrs. retirement ages etc)
  4. How many years left until each inspector retires at their full pension age (e.g. 0-5, 5-10,10-15 up to 35 yrs. retirement ages etc)
  5. How many of WMP Inspectors are actually ‘qualified’ Detective Inspectors (i.e. ICIDP passed) in WMP
  6. How many inspectors have one or more degrees or are graduate level
  7. How many inspectors are part time and full time

Please be advised that the information that you have requested is not available in a readily retrievable format. In relation to Question 6.

586 Application forms and HR records would need to be located, retrieved and manually read to see if the officer had qualifications or was working toward a qualification.

Therefore, the cost of providing you with the information is above the amount to which we are legally required to respond i.e. the cost of locating and retrieving the information exceeds the ‘appropriate level’ as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004.

In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, this letter acts as a Refusal Notice for this part of the request and if one part of a request exceeds the fees limit then S12 of the Act applies to the whole request
