Grading of IIoC (1544A/22)

Do police officers and staff who are trained in the grading of indecent images of children hold any formal or national accreditation or qualifications similar to staff from the NCA and The Internet Watch Foundation, who also grade indecent images of children?

All OCSET (Online Child Sexual Exploitation Team) staff undertake College of Policing ICIDP (Initial Crime Investigators Development Programme) and SCAIDP (Specialist Child Abuse Investigators Development Programme) training in order to gain detective accreditation. However, they may begin viewing images before their training is complete. Some officers have also completed training delivered by the NCA who have recognised them as a ‘Nationally Recognised Grader of IIoC (indecent images of children)’.
