Are your police officers required to declare that they are members of any secret societies, including the Freemasons?

No, in relation to the Freemasons.

In relation to Secret Societies this is fairly broad as there are many in existence. An officer would be required to declare that they were a member of a political party, right wing extremism etc for obvious security reasons.  This would be done in the vetting process.

Do you keep a register of the police officers who have declared that they are Freemasons?

No

If so, according to the register, how many serving officers have declared that they are Freemasons?

No information held

Is declaring membership of the Freemasons enforced in your police force, or voluntary

It is not a requirement
