I am after information relating to your Police Force and in particular the number of Fixed Penalty Notices handed to e-scooter riders.
In particular, are you able to provide me with:
- The number of traffic offences recorded for e-scooter riders, broken down by the offence type (i.e. Driving/riding without insurance, need to be taxed)
Could you please provide answers to Question 1 for the following calendar years

2. For the traffic offences in Question 1) for e-scooter riders, can you list police action taken for each offence, split between:

Or any other classification your Force uses.

Please find attached our response.
In addition, please note there is the potential for some cases to have been reported following an RTC, however this is saved on a separate database which does not record them as e-scooters (only as a mechanically propelled vehicle (MPV)). Unfortunately, to identify any of these cases would require manually reviewing each recorded RTC.
