1) The number of dog theft crimes (thefts where the item stolen was a dog) recorded in each of the following calendar years: 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
2) The number of dog theft crimes (thefts where the item stolen was a dog) which resulted in a charge / summons recorded in each of the following calendar years: 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

With regard to 2021 data, we are unable to retrieve data beyond 07/04/2021 due to a major change in West Midlands Police recording systems. However, data that can be retrieved has already been disclosed and published on our website at the link below.
