Assaults Against Officers (999A/21)
Request
- Please could you let me know how many crime reports of an assault of a police personnel (public-facing police of any rank, including PCSOs) you have recorded between 23/3/21 and 23/6/21, and for the same three month period last year? If possible, please include the date of each assault and any detail recorded about it.
- Please provide the recorded crime outcomes for the crime reports found in question 1.
- Please separately provide the number of arrests for an assault of a police personnel, within the time periods stated above.
- Please provide the manner of the assaults found above.

Please find attached our response and note that due to a major change in West Midlands Police recording systems, the arrest information that you have requested for the entire period (23 March 21 – 23 June 21) cannot be retrieved. Therefore, unfortunately, we are unable to provide this to you. We have instead provided data up to 31 March 21.
