Gas and electric Bills (1553A/22)

I would like to know how much your organisation has paid for gas and electricity since 2018. I would like it to be broken down by your Police Force as follows:
- The total amount of electricity used at your Police Force through the first 10 months for each year in a) 2018 b) 2019 c) 2020 d) 2021 e) 2022, measured in kWh.
- The total amount of gas used at your Police Force through the first 10 months for each year in a) 2018 b) 2019 c) 2020 d) 2021 e) 2022, measured in cubic meters.
- The total billed amount for electricity usage at your Police Force through the first 10 months for each year in a) 2018 b) 2019 c) 2020 d) 2021 e) 2022.
- The total billed amount for gas usage at your Police Force through the first 10 months for each year in a) 2018 b) 2019 c) 2020 d) 2021 e) 2022.
Response
Our data are not organised in such a way as to allow us to provide this information within the appropriate (cost) limit within the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act.
This means that we would need to locate and retrieve the information for all of the questions above, every bill for each individual building / station across the 10-month period for the 5 years required. Once received we would have to manually collate this information into the format requested. Please also note that not all bills are received on a monthly basis.
To conduct this search, however, would exceed to appropriate limit (FOI S12).
This means that the cost of providing you the information is above the amount of time we are legally required to respond i.e.; the cost of locating and retrieving the information exceed the appropriate level as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and appropriate limit) regulations 2004.
In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, this letter acts as a refusal notice for this request.
