- How many thefts have been reported in car parks in your area in the last 5 years?
- How many ‘other’ crimes crimes such as assaults (human) have been reported in your area in the last 5 years in local car parks?

In relation to question 2, I mean theft from or of a motor vehicle.
In relation to question 3, I mean assaults only.

Comparing numbers of incidents/crimes can be misleading and does not necessarily indicate the likelihood of someone being a victim of crime. In addition, the number of incidents/crimes recorded in an area over a period of time can be influenced by a number of factors. Consequently statistics on incidents/crimes for one period may not necessarily be a good indicator of future incidents in that area.
