On uniform items such as fleeces, jackets and stab vests, WMP attaches patches with the force logo and the officer’s surname. Could you please try and answer the following questions.
- What is the name of the supplier(s) who manufacture the patches?
- Does the supplier print the officer’s surname onto each patch or is that done “in-house” by the force?
- Does the force attach the name patches to pieces of uniform or is it done externally?
- On the old style of black stab vests, “bell shape” patches were attached to the front with the force logo at the top, below was POLICE and at the bottom of the patch was often a surname. Can you please tell me the name of the supplier(s) of these patches if the answer is different to Q1.
