I’d greatly appreciate it if you could supply the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, all of which relate to section 43 terrorism searches


For each of the following financial years (April -March):




Please could you supply the

  1. The total number of section 43 terrorism searches carried out that year
  2. The number of section 43 terrorism searches that year broken down by ethnicity
  3. The total number of arrests arising from a section 43 terrorism search



Please find attached our response and note that the data is sourced from our eSearch system which went live on 01 April 2014 on a staggered basis across each Local Policing Unit, until September 2014 and therefore may not be an exhaustive list.
