How many drivers were caught speeding, per year, between 2010 & 2014 inclusive.



Count* of speeding offences during the period 01 January 2010 to 31 December 2014:

2010 – 57,877

2011 – 72,889

2012 – 65,959

2013 – 56,579

2014 – 52,515

*Please note, the above data show the number of speeding offences, not the number of individuals committing those offences (i.e. an individual may have committed more than one of the offences).

The detail collected to respond specifically to your request is subject to the inaccuracies inherent in any large scale recording system.
