I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from West Midlands Police. I kindly request the following information: the number of occurrence reports to West Midlands Police of incidents whereby social networking sites were mentioned in the modus operandi of the occurrence enquiry log and the victims┬┐ occupation has been recorded as student or similar. I ask for the information to be broken down into the offence category, age of the victim, gender of the victim, and outcome of the occurrence report for the calendar years between and including 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and current figures for 2016.


To clarify my request (sent Saturday 12th November), please could you kindly provide details of offences where the following social networking sites (below) have been mentioned within the M.O. text and/or circumstances of offence text, and where there is M.O. ‘committed on internet’ and/or the weapon type is ‘written communication – social networks’ — for the calendar years 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and current to date figures for 2016 (From 1st January 2016 to 11th November 2016).
