Personal Records (768_15)

But in general when do persons government record go into the public domain?

My follow up question is dealing with access personal data.

When does personal data go into public domain?

Example of what I mean is:

NSW Police Records have 70 years exclusion period. So NSW Police Gazette published 1862 to 1982, one can only access up 1944.

Correctional periods the same.

Birth certificates 100 years, Marriage certificates 50 and 30 for Death Certificates.

But this especially death records always seems silly me, I attain access to the probate records.

Police one are the same, I can attain the court record, for judgment up to couple days ago at AUSTLII, good site check it out.

The other things is New South Wales, my personal file employment will comes open access after leaving the service 30 year time, which in my case 2022.

Commonwealth records are now only 20 years.

What is the date open access starts?
