Would it be possible for you to provide me with a workforce breakdown of regular sworn police officers only, for the years 2015, 2012 and 1996? Can this information be provided covering the following totals please?
Q1. Total number of police officers in 2015, 2012 and 1996.
Q2. How many of total were male in 2015, 2012 and 1996.
Q3. How many of total were female in 2015, 2012 and 1996.
Q4. How many of total were BME in 2015, 2012 and 1996.
Q5. How many of BME were male in 2015, 2012 and 1996.
Q6. How many of BME were female in 2015, 2012 and 1996.
Q7. In relation to these police officers the total number who are members of the PPS 1987, NPPS 2006 and Care 2015 Police Pension Schemes.
Q8. How many of the total members are ‘protected’ members of the 1987 and 2006 schemes. With total broken down into male, female and BME.
Q9. How many of the total members are ‘tapered’ members of the 1987 and 2006 schemes. With total broken down into male, female and BME.
Q10. How many of the total members are members of the 2015 scheme. With total broken down into male, female and BME.

We could locate and extract, within the cost limit, the answers to questions 1 – 6 for the years 2012 and 2015. For questions 7 – 10 we can provide data for 2012 and 2015 (2014/15 financial year), although we are unable to provide figures for 1996 and we are unable to provide BME statistics.
