Motorbike Thefts (7393/17)
Please provide a count of successful (regardless of recovery / non-recovery) motorbike thefts aggregated for all councils in the West Midlands over the past 3 years grouped by security device(s) in use at the time of theft:
– Motorbike cover
– Steering column lock
– Brake caliper lock(s)
– Security chain(s)
– Several of the above
Please see below for a list of phrases that should be attributed to each group:
Motorbike Cover: “cover”
Steering column lock: “steering lock”, “ignition lock”
Brake disc lock (in my original request I wrote ‘Brake caliper lock(s)’, that was a typo): “disc lock”, “disc clamp”, “rotor lock”, “brake lock”
Security Chain: “chain”
Other: “tracker”, “datatag”, “immobiliser”
Several of the above: any combination of one or more phrases from different categories, e.g. notes which say “cover” and “disc lock” should go under “several of the above”, but notes that say “disc lock” and “rotor lock” should be represented as one entry under “brake disc lock”
None: none of the phrases above
Please find attached our response.
