1) What are the statistics of Knife related incidents in 2012 and 2013?

The number of recorded knife crimes in the West Midlands Police force area.

Please note that overall the last ten years West Midlands Police have seen a marked reduction in knife and gun related offences and fatalities.

The force is committed to tackling the complex issue of knife and gun related crime and continuing to reduce the number of offences.

Despite several high profile cases and a number of tragic deaths last year, knife crime in the West Midlands region is falling dramatically and the force remains committed to driving the figure down further.
