1. Please supply the number of cases of FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) which were reported to your police force between the following dates:

a. 1 October 2016 and 30 September 2017 (inclusive)

b. 1 October 2017 and 30 September 2018 (inclusive)

c. 1 October 2018 and 30 September 2019 (inclusive)

2. Please supply the number of FGM Prevention Orders which were served on your Police Force between the following dates:

a. 1 October 2016 and 30 September 2017 (inclusive)

c. 1 October 2018 and 30 September 2019 (inclusive)

With regard to question 1, please find the link below to previously published data for the number of FGM cases reported to the Force in each calendar year 2016 – 2018. Data for 2019 (January – September) is attached.

Please be advised that with regard to FGM cases, calendar years are considered an acceptable format for disclosure (in line with previous responses); to provide lower level data/an alternative format is likely to attract exemptions Section 30(1)(a) – Investigations and proceedings and Section 31(1)(a) – Law enforcement.

Please also find our response to question 2 attached which is presented in the same format as question 1.
