CSE Problem Profile (724_15)

A copy of every problem profile carried out by or on behalf of West Midlands since 2009 into child sexual exploitation, including online and street grooming.

I wish to be provided with ANY information held by your organisation regarding my request.

Please find attached the problem profiles for Child Sexual Exploitation from 2009, 2010 and 2012. We are still considering the release of one further report, for 2015. We hope to provide a redacted version of this remaining report within 10 working days.

While the majority of the information for the other reports is attached to this email I am afraid that I am not required by statute to release all of the information requested. This letter serves as a Refusal Notice under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) for the documents that have not been released and the sections of the documents that have been redacted. The information is exempt by virtue of the following exemptions:

Section 23 Information supplied by, or relating to, bodies dealing with security matters
Section 30 Investigations and proceedings conducted by the public authority
Section 31 Law Enforcement
Section 40 Personal Information
These exemptions and explanatory notes are shown here:

In line with the above, I am required to complete a Public Interest Test (PIT) on disclosure. Please find this PIT attached.

It is important to note that the data used in the report has been extracted from a number of data sources and the detail collated is subject to the inaccuracies inherent in large scale recording systems and associated procedures. As a consequence, care should be taken to ensure data collection processes and their inevitable limitations are taken into account when interpreting the data in the document.

If you decide to write an article / use the enclosed data we would ask you to take into consideration the factors highlighted in this document so as to not mislead members of the public or official bodies, or misrepresent the relevance of the whole or any part of this disclosed material.
