Coronavirus (COVID-19)

How we are working to keep our FOI Requests running during COVID-19

Coronavirus covid19

Please be advised that due to the impact of the COVID-19 virus, the force has less capacity to respond to FOI Requests.

Whilst we will endeavour, as always, to respond to requests as quickly as possible, there will be significant change in the service we are able to provide over the coming weeks and compliance with statutory deadlines is likely to be affected. We apologise for this and would ask those who wish to make freedom of Information request to consider submitting them at a later date to allow WMP to concentrate as much resource on responding to this emergency.

Your patience at this time would be greatly appreciated, and we would encourage you to please consult our Disclosure Log and published statistical data in the first instance prior to submitting a request for information.

Freedom of Information requests relating to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are requesting information held by WMP in connection with Coronavirus (COVID-19).

It is likely that the information will be exempt under Section 22 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (Information intended for future publication), in line with the National Policing Publication Strategy – Operation Talla.
