How much cash has your force seized under POCA in the last financial year?
This information is not held in any West Midlands Police ledger, all POCA seizures are held in interest bearing accounts. WMP receive a percentage from the Home Office of any money seized under POCA (if this is not later returned to the individual/paid to the courts/injured party).
We have banked the following POCA seized cash in 2013 /14
All figures have been rounded to the nearest 100
US Dollars – 2,000
Euros – 3,700
GBP – 3,013,200
The accounts are used for both PACE/POCA cash so the above figures provided are the net total for POCA. The above details do not take into account any disposals made.
Every effort is made to ensure that the figures presented are accurate and complete.
