  1. How many members of police staff have been found guilty of gross misconduct for operating a business interest without approval?
  1. Were all of the guilty staff members immediately dismissed? If no, what were their levels of punishment?
  1. If not found guilty for gross misconduct but found guilty of any lesser charge, what were the levels of punishments for these?
  1. Please include data for the last 3 years including month and year of charge.


Period – 01 January 2013 to 05 December 2015:

One member of staff found guilty of gross misconduct regarding business interest, May 2013 – Dismissed.

Two members of staff investigated for gross misconduct regarding business interest but both resigned while under investigation (June 2015 and March 2015).

Six members of staff received Management Action for Misconduct in relation to business interests: Jan 2015, Apr 2014, July 2013, 2 x June 2013, May 2013.
