Number of crimes at ATMs/Cash machines broken down by year over the last 2x years, 2019 and 2018.
If possible please provide detail of the nature of the crime e.g. “Cash machine smashed with hammer, money stolen” or “victim robbed of bank card at cash point”

Please be advised that the information that you have requested is not available in a readily retrievable format. In relation the nature of the crime or a summary of the crime. However to locate and retrieve each crime log and prepare a summary, would require a significant amount of work in terms of ensuring it is sanitised to a sufficient level to not only ensure personal data is not disclosed but also ensure no investigations or sensitive statistical data is disclosed.
Therefore the cost of providing you with the information is above the amount to which we are legally required to respond i.e. the cost of locating and retrieving the information exceeds the ‘appropriate level’ as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004.
In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, this letter acts as a Refusal Notice for this part of the request and if one part of a request exceeds the fees limit then S12 of the Act applies to the whole request
