1. For the period 01/01/2018 to 31/12/2018 and 01/01/2019 to the present date, on a month by month basis how many stolen vehicles were involved in pursuits?

 2. In the first 7 months of this year, how many stolen motor vehicles have you recorded

 3. What was the number of vehicles recorded stolen in 2015

 4. of the motor vehicles stolen so far this year (2019), how many were

 a. Ford / b. Audi / c. Mercedes

 5. Please provide a breakdown by make/model of all stolen vehicles in 2019

 6. Of the motor vehicles stolen in 2015, how many were

 7. Please provide a breakdown by make/model of all stolen vehicles for 2015

 8. What methods of theft are recorded by your constabulary i.e. robbery, burglary, keys in the vehicle, security bypass/interference

 9. Of the thefts for 2015, 2018 and 2019 what method of theft was recorded for each?

 10. Of the vehicles stolen 2015, 2018 and 2019, please provide the recovery statistics you possess and advise how these are recorded, accessed.

Response

Please be advised that the information that you have requested is not available in a readily retrievable format. In relation question 1, as we do not have central recording category which would identify pursuits. Therefore each incident log would need to be retrieved and the summary of the incident read to see if this mentioned a pursuit. In relation to Question 8 and 9  we do not record the method of theft, again as we do not have central recording category which would the method

Therefore the cost of providing you with the information is above the amount to which we are legally required to respond i.e. the cost of locating and retrieving the information exceeds the ‘appropriate level’ as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004.
