Request / Response

1) How much money has been spent on redundancy pay for each of the last 7 calender years.

As redundancy costs are detailed in our statement of accounts from 2010-11 onwards our figures are shown by our financial year which runs from April to March:-
2009-10 – £397,700
2010-11 – £7,368,000
2011-12 – £4,721,000
2012-13 – £1,690,000
2013-14 – £534,800
The costs shown in the statement of accounts relate only to the payments made to individuals who have been made redundant, or whose redundancy has been agreed as at 31 March in the financial year stated, but who have not left the organisation at the Balance Sheet date.
As we are still in financial year 2013-14 details have been taken from the ledger up to the December period, these have been reduced by any costs that would already have been included in the 2012-13 accounts figure.

2) How much money has been spent on redundancy process in each of the last 7 calender years.

The redundancy process costs are not separately identifiable but are absorbed as part of our usual business costs

3) How much money has been spent on advertising employment opportunities in each of the last 7 calender years.

There were two codes on our ledger for recruitment advertising up to financial year 2009/10 these were amalgamated in financial year 2010/11 into one code for recruitment advertising, these contain the following costs:-
