Q1 How many intelligence analysts (FTE) are employed within your force and what percentage have been under contract for less than two years?
Q2 Of your total intelligence analyst establishment, how many are predominantly tasked with proactive identification of serious and organised crime threat impacting your local force area?
Q3 Are your force intelligence analysts aligned to thematic serious and organised crime threats i.e. Modern Slavery, Serious Acquisitive Crime, Criminal Finances? Are these in line with your force control strategy priorities?
Q4 Do your force intelligence analysts support any partnership SOC boards?
Q5 Has your force published SOC Local Profiles within the last 12 months?
West Midlands Police have 103 intelligence analysts (FTE), 18 of whom have been employed for less than 2 years.

REASONS FOR DECISION
We can confirm the answer to question one of your request. However, I am afraid that I am not required by statute to release all of the information requested. This letter serves as a Refusal Notice under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) for the answers to questions 2 – 5.
The withheld information is exempt by virtue of the following exemptions:
Section 23(3) Information supplied by, or concerning, certain Security Bodies
S31(1)(a)(b) Law Enforcement
In this case, this letter represents a Refusal Notice for the answers to questions 2 – 5. These exemptions and explanatory notes are shown here:
Section 23 is a class based absolute exemption and there is no requirement to consider the public interest in this case.
