Crossbow Use (4523_14)

Request

Please provide me with statistics your organisation holds regarding the use and/or confiscation of crossbows in reported crimes/incidents in the last five years.

Response

An incident search containing the keyword ‘cross bow’ has retrieved 138 records. Unfortunately it is not possible to provide the number of crossbows confiscated using this search.
The table below provides recorded crime and weapon use. ‘blank’ in this case, usually indicates that a weapon was stolen. We are not able .to provide information on the number of crossbows confiscated, only those used in a crime (excl non crime) or stated in the MO notes of a crime.
