Arrest Warrants (2001_15)

Request

  1. How many people are wanted by your force on outstanding arrest warrants? This includes (but is not exclusive to) suspects who have failed to turn up to court, and where an arrest warrant has been issued.

I would like the most recent figure for 2015. Please break down by the nature of the crime/crime code, if possible.

  1. What is the longest period of time a suspect has been wanted by police on an outstanding arrest warrant? Please provide the nature of the offence.
  1. I would also like the same figures requested in (1.) for the years 2013 and 2014. I.e.: how many people were wanted by police on outstanding arrest warrants at the end of:
  1. a) 2013
  2. b) 2014

Response

As a consequence, care should be taken to ensure data collection processes and their inevitable limitations are taken into account when interpreting those data.

The figures provided therefore are our best interpretation of relevance of data to your request, but you should be aware that the collation of figures for ad hoc requests may have limitations and this should be taken into account when those data are used.

If you decide to write an article / use the enclosed data we would ask you to take into consideration the factors highlighted in this document so as to not mislead members of the public or official bodies, or misrepresent the relevance of the whole or any part of this disclosed material.
